Elapsed visualizes the blockchain in motion, with swirling particles marking each new Bitcoin block. Two spirits observe - the impatient Mercurial and the introspective Saturnine. The artwork visualizes the passage of each mined Bitcoin block. Vibrant bits orbit in spirals, knotted loops, or along a shimmering horizon, awaiting the next surge of data. When a new block appears, the scene resets, and the cycle begins again. Elapsed comes in two distinct variations. FLOAT presents the artwork as originally intended - smooth, fluid, and precise. INT, in contrast, reflects a stage of experimentation, with low-precision movement, glitched positions, and flickering lights. This is the artist’s workshop - a raw sketch before refinement - a hint of analogue nostalgia.
