Regardless of where bitcoin was 
within your perception 
For me, it was on the outer fringe 
as we travelled Australia, letting go of fiat 
questioning the structures that depend on it 
and wondering why life had felt so out of alignment 

It wasn’t until 2021 
nearing the end of the bull run 
that I jumped in 
without thinking
but ready to learn bitcoin 101 
and then, like magic  
teachers appeared
…it’s weird 
just like me, and my kids would agree 
for them it might be embarrassing 
their 42 year old Mum
quitting a sensible career 
to write rhymes about bitcoin and weed! 
But I guess this is a childhood dream?
At this point, I feel it’s best not to think
Just continue imagining and curious about what could be... 

maybe the value doesn’t just come from the characteristics of property 
So a little less like monopoly
And more about the generosity 
of time 
and principles as a secure medium 
for resource sharing
I feel I can no longer exchange fiat for women’s circle energy 
Because now, the old money feels like extracting 
Instead, I’d prefer to participate in 
peer-to-peer and appreciating
Fuck status and hierarchy 
I choose the one where every interaction with the network 
is a vote 
for the people’s money 
could this lead to a true, 
circular free market economy
